Lydia Sims

Lydia Sims, a native of Sacramento joined the Board in October 2021 after helping to establish the Lean On Me Program where the Brazilian Center feeds roughly 350 unhoused, food insecure seniors, and at-risk youth each week.

She has a Bachelor’s degree from Sacramento State and completed one year of law school at the University of San Francisco. She’s the owner and president of Generations Asset Protection Services where she helps boomers and seniors put their affairs in order through revocable living trusts and government funded long term care.

She was formerly a Legislative Secretary for Assemblyman Walter M. Ingalls and an Assembly Sergeant-at-Arms for the CA Legislature. Her favorite job was being a starter at Tony Lema Golf Course in San Leandro, CA.

Her primary goal is to assist in grant writing for the Center so we can continue to have a positive impact in the greater Sacramento community.
